Was Joe Theismann A Dirty-Mouth Player?

Joe Theismann, who won a Super Bowl XVII ring as quarterback with the Washington Redskins, has signed a deal with SaniBrands, Inc. to introduce Defense Sport Mouthguard Rinse. The product was “scientifically created to clean and remove dirt and bacteria” from mouth guards. According to the company, this is the “first and only [such] product on the market.”  “The one danger that I wasn’t aware of in all of my years of playing ball was all the germs I was exposing myself [to] by removing and inserting my mouth guard with dirty hands,” said Theismann in a statement.  Theismann, whose career was ended in 1985 after a devastating hit from New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Tayor, will explain in marketing how the rinse was “designed to help keep an athlete’s mouth guard clean without exposing the athlete to alcohol and sugar.” and that it has a “fresh mint taste and is easy to use before, during and after competition.”

Mike’s Wants You To Play Hard

Mike’s Hard Lemonade has launched “Mike’s Hard Sports,” a campaign that challenges “hard athletes and teams” to demonstrate their passion for sports. Now through Aug. 16, teams and individual athletes can submit a short video (two minutes or less) to the Mike’s Hard Lemonade  Facebook page to show “how they stand out from the crowd.” Those who enter will have an opportunity to win a grand prize of $10,000 and a starring role in an upcoming Mike’s ad. Limited edition Mike’s branded sports gear will be rewarded to the top 20 finalists. Initial entries have focused on kickball, dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee and cornhole(!). According to Andy Horrow, CMO for  Mike’s Hard Lemonade, “We want to recognize real teams and real players who display a thirst to play hard, have fun and stand out from the crowd.
