Say what? One man is claiming that John Lennon was a Republican at the time of his death, embarrassed by his former radical ways! This all comes from his last personal assistant, Fred Seaman, who worked alongside the musician from 1979 until Lennon's death in December of 1980. According to the Toronto Sun , Seaman "reveals the star was a Ronald Reagan fan who enjoyed arguing with left-wing radicals who reminded him of his former self. "
This is all coming out now because of filmmaker Seth Swirsky's new documentary, Beatles Stories The subject is just as incredible as this piece of information that has been flying around the internet. Why is it flying around the internet... who is trying to hide what, or push what?

I think John Lennon the legend would have liked Ada, Legend of a Healer http://www.adaslegend.com . I think he would have embraced the philosophical ideas in the book and enjoyed the thought provoking questions, but this wouldn't make him a healer, just someone who liked the book.
No way, Inflation was out of control and Carter was percieved as a weak President. Reagan had a Hollywood sex appeal that won voters hearts and minds. Voters trusted him, even liberals like Ed Koch believed that he could walk on water and multiply loaves and fishes.

The South Bronx and vast sections of Williamsburg were burned out and abandoned. The subways were covered with graffitti and were in disrepair. Drugs were sold openly in the streets and cops looked the other way. Over 2 million persons left the city, the only people coming in were low live crumbs who collected welfare.

The point I am trying to make is, one you start walking or working in the right direction and motivate people, then contributions and efforts will follow. You dont need to explain so much. Money is not a problem for many to contribute a little.. Afterall it helps them right.. If you take the lead and tell us or start a big campaign.. WHY not the FLOWER CAMPAIGN once again.. EB2 is 04 now.. Next month that will change to U. Do you want to wait for that. I spoke to several in my office with earlier EB3 PD's (who might not even get GC's in the next 5-10 years !) and of course with EAD's and they have literally substituted EAD for a GC. They were once a part of IV (and some similar org's ?!) but now have completely lost hope and don't care. I tried to motivate them to join IV and support but they feel that IV does not cater to EB3's anymore. Sadly they are not even trying to port to EB2. They are just content with a job and EAD. One question: in one thread you mentioned you've also got canadian PR. I did apply for canadian immigration, got approval but have to land before 24th april. My 485 was filed in july 2007, EAD, AP aprpoved and PD for october 2005 got current in the May bulletin. I am thinking of abandoning the CA PR as even if I get that, I will have to abandon it when I will get for US PR. So the question is, what will the CA PR benefit when you already have GC? Well, EB3-I will never get spill over under current interpretation, as all EB2 needs to be current along with other categories, If you had looked at the USCIS data, EB2 numbers are higher than EB3 for China / India for folks with PD 04/05/06... and we are talking about 2-4 yrs down the line, Economy will get better and many would join the line in EB2 as well and I doubt if the dates could ever get current. This new interpretation for the allocation of the unused visa to other category / oversubscribed country seems like curse to EB3 folks. Hope this changes somehow and we need to focus on this along with other greater goals.
