Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a successful District Marketing Manager to join our Marine Power Group, Dealer Sales Division.  The DMM will be responsible for the overall business direction and Dealer development of the assigned territory and act as a business consultant to all Yamaha Outboard Dealers to mutually grow our business.  Territory will include Northeast States (DE, E. MD, S. NJ, E. PA and Central NY).

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring successful sales relationships with our Marine dealers for developing new business and for fostering productive business partnerships with boat companies and boat sales representatives. Conduct sales training for dealer sales personnel and other staff as needed. Developing targets and goals as needed to achieve Yamaha objectives. Recognize and develop key sales strategies unique to Yamaha Outboards specific to the territory. Prospect new business leads. Properly monitor and service the Yamaha Outboard dealer to insure satisfaction as a customer of Yamaha. Continuously develop and update a strategic sales plan to achieve monthly sales targets as assigned to territory. Maintaining a high level of competence and professionalism as a representative of Yamaha while continuing to develop ideas and actions to improve the overall professionalism of the territory. Implementation of all Yamaha Outboard Sales and Promotional opportunities to the dealer network. Accurately forecast outboard product needs for Dealer Accounts based on information collected from Yamaha Dealers, market trends, and quantifiable data from past year’s sales. Review Dealer Sales Reports (Fiscal, Model, and Calendar year) and other miscellaneous sales reports as they relate to territory. Assist with boat builder meetings, corporate boat shows, local boat shows and dealer open houses. Maintaining and tracking information for all Dealer sales programs, specific to territory. Ensuring that Yamaha policies, procedures, and goals are properly communicated to the dealer network.

I live in New Jersey & am buying a boat. Do I need a Licence ...

I am purchasing a employed 14 foot Jon boat with a trolling motor. I know it needs to be registered & so does the trailer. I was seeking on-line & read that you want a licence to oporate a power boat or jet ski on New Jersey waterways. My question is, does a trolling motor make it a power boat? Or does power mean only "gas outboard" power boat? Also do I require insurance for the boat & trailer? I was reading on-line & it said that I only want to bring the title for the boat & my information. It stated nothing about insurance. I Live in Lake Hopatcong , NJ and am an active boater in NJ. I heard gieco insurance has the finest rates for that. in new york, you need a license if you are under 18. the boat has to be registered but the trailer only needs to be registered if you drive it on public roads. so, if you have your own launch on your property you don’t need to register the trailer. also, neither my boats or boat trailers are insured except for our new ones. as for it being a powered boat, i think that if it has only a trolling motor, it would be considered a rowboat. check on new jersey’s dmv website.
