Submission deadline
      Clubs are invited to submit information and photos to news@goldingpublications.com, fax 244-2748 or bring them to The Friday Flyer, 31558 Railroad Canyon Rd. in the Towne Center, by Tuesday at noon, earlier when possible.
      Due to space constraints The Friday Flyer is not able to publish every Canyon Lake club's news in the printed issue of The Friday Flyer each week. Priority is given to clubs with time sensitive events and new information. For the complete list of "Club News" go online to fridayflyer.com.

Super Sprint Triathlon winners
      Triathletes did very did very well in the Triathlon Club’s Super Sprint Triathlon and Barbecue/Potluck, irrespective of the hot and breezy weather on June 25. Congratulations go to Eric Zapata for winning the race, after a comeback from being second-to-last out of the Lake during the swim. Special recognition also goes to Maria Kivrizis for completing her first ever triathlon. The Strate family relay team won the relay division.
      July will be yet another busy month for the club with open water swim practices every Thursday afternoon, brick practices every Saturday morning, medium-to-long runs every Sunday morning and a sprint triathlon later in the month. All events and practices are free for club members. Annual dues are $25 for individuals and $30 for families.
      Triathlon Club meetings are held the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Lodge. All group practices and races are free for Triathlon Club members. The club holds eight triathlons and four duathlons per year. Cotillion
      The summer themed Cotillion programs are Western Night on July 8, Hawaiian Night on August 5 and ’40s/’50s Night on September 9. Participants should dress according to the theme. Western and Hawaiian Nights will feature instruction in these dances and the ’40s/’50s Night will be mostly East Coast Swing.
      The annual beach/picnic day will be held on August 12 at Roadrunner Beach. The whole family is invited as guests of Cotillion members.
